Privacy Policy

This explains what Owlgo Photo collects when you browse, buy a print or license, book a session or write in, who it's shared with, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: we collect what's needed to fill your order and answer you, we don't sell it, and there are no ads or tracking on this site.
What we collect

We never see or store your card number. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that do part of the work, and only what they need for it:
- Stripe processes payments and calculates sales tax. Stripe also uses payment details to prevent fraud. Stripe's privacy policy.
- Prodigi, our print lab, receives your name, shipping address, email and phone so they can print and ship your order and pass on tracking. Prodigi's privacy policy.
- Resend sends our order, download and shipping emails. Resend's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare hosts this site and stores the photo files. Like any web host, it handles basic request data such as your IP address to serve pages and block attacks. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site, so your browser requests them from Google. Google's privacy policy.
- Couriers (such as UPS, FedEx or USPS) get your name and address from the lab to deliver your order.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or with a buyer if the business is ever sold, under the same promises made here. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Cookies and tracking
This site doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies, and there's no tracking pixel or third-party analytics. Your cart is kept in your browser's local storage. Stripe's checkout page sets its own cookies to keep payments secure; those are covered by Stripe's policy.
Session photos
Photos from your session are yours to keep and share for personal use. We only feature session photos on this site or elsewhere with your permission. Founding clients agree to let us feature a few of their photos as part of that rate, and can still ask us to take any specific photo down.
How long we keep it
- Order and payment records: as long as tax and accounting rules require, usually seven years.
- Contact messages: as long as the conversation is useful, then deleted.
- Session galleries: for at least a year after delivery so you can download again, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Download links for licenses expire after 48 hours.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can opt out of any email that isn't about an order you placed. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days. Some records, like past orders, we have to keep for tax reasons even if you ask us to delete them; we'll tell you if that applies. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law, and we'll honor them.
Security
Payments run on Stripe's secure checkout. Full-resolution files are kept in private storage and only shared through signed links that expire. No system is perfect, but we limit what we collect and who can reach it.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Sessions that include children are booked by a parent or guardian.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes affecting past customers, we'll email you.
