Terms of Service

Last updated September 28, 2026

These terms cover buying prints and digital licenses and booking portrait sessions from Owlgo Photo. By placing an order or booking a session you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, email us before you buy.

Who we are

Owlgo Photo is run by Owlgo LLC, a Rhode Island company. The photographs are by Brian Savage.

Prints

Made to order

Every print is made for your order by our professional print lab, Prodigi, and shipped directly to you. Because nothing is made until you order, orders go to the lab right after payment. If you need to change or cancel, email us straight away. We'll try, but once printing has started we can't stop it.

What you'll receive

Prices, tax and shipping

Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is calculated at checkout where it applies. We ship to the United States and Canada. Shipping is a flat fee per order and free on orders of $250 or more before tax. Most paper prints ship in 3 to 5 business days and framed or mounted pieces in 7 to 10, plus delivery time. We email a tracking link when your order ships. Orders to Canada may be charged import duties or taxes on delivery, which are the buyer's responsibility.

Damaged, defective or wrong

If your print arrives damaged, has a printing defect, or isn't what you ordered, email [email protected] within 30 days of delivery with a photo of the problem (and of the packaging, if it was damaged in transit). We'll send a free replacement or give you a full refund, your choice. You won't need to send the damaged print back unless we ask.

No change-of-mind returns

Because each print is made to order, we can't accept returns or give refunds if you change your mind or order the wrong size. The room preview and size notes on the order page are there to help you choose.

Lost packages

If tracking shows no movement for 10 business days, or your order is marked delivered but hasn't arrived, let us know and we'll work with the courier and the lab to find it or send a replacement.

Copyright

All photographs on this site are copyrighted by Owlgo LLC and Brian Savage. Buying a print gives you the print, not the copyright: you can hang it, give it away or sell the physical print, but you can't scan, copy or reproduce it. Downloading or reusing the images on this site requires a license.

Digital licenses

A license gives you a full-resolution file and permission to use it as described below. All licenses are non-exclusive and non-transferable. We keep the copyright and may license the same photo to others.

LicenseYou may
PersonalUse the photo for yourself: wallpaper, personal prints for your own home, gifts. No business or promotional use.
EditorialPublish the photo in one article, blog post or publication (print or online), with the credit "Photo: Brian Savage / Owlgo Photo". Not for advertising.
CommercialUse the photo for one brand's marketing, advertising, website, packaging or products for two years from purchase.

No license allows you to resell or give away the file itself, sell it as a stock image, use it in a logo or trademark, use it in a way that's defamatory or misleading, or use it to train or feed AI models. If you need something the licenses don't cover, such as a longer term or several brands, email us.

Your download link arrives by email right after payment and works for 48 hours. If it expires before you've downloaded, email us for a new one. Since the file is delivered instantly, licenses aren't refundable once downloaded, unless we sent the wrong file.

Portrait sessions

Booking and payment

A deposit holds your date and counts toward the session price. The balance is due by the day of the session. Founding client rates apply to the number of sessions shown on the site, and in return we may feature a few of your photos and ask for a short review.

Rescheduling and cancellations

Your photos

We deliver the number of edited images listed for your package through a private online gallery, usually within two weeks. The editing style matches the portfolio; we don't provide unedited files. You get a personal license to your photos: share, print and post them as you like. For business use, just ask. We keep the copyright, and we only use your photos in our portfolio or marketing with your permission (or as agreed under founding client rates).

Locations and safety

Some sessions involve hiking or outdoor locations. You're responsible for your own fitness, footwear and gear, and for any permits or entry fees a location requires unless we've agreed otherwise. We may shorten or move a session if conditions become unsafe.

Limits of our responsibility

We do our best to keep the site running and orders on time, but we can't be responsible for delays caused by the lab, couriers, customs, weather or other things outside our control. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility for any order or session is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't liable for indirect losses. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Rhode Island. If a disagreement comes up, please email us first; most things can be sorted out quickly. Any legal dispute will be handled in the courts of Rhode Island, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring it where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on the site when you place an order or book a session is the one that applies to it.
